Like most artists, I find inspiration in many and varied ways. One way is by viewing the artwork of others. Another is by experiencing new things. My favorite way of experiencing new things is by traveling and living in different places. Combining all of these, I recently moved to Alberta Arts District in Portland, Oregon for a month (maybe longer). This laid back and friendly neighborhood offers a lot of art and culture, and I am fortunate to be just a few minutes walk from the heart of it all. I have been finding inspiration in all the fantastic murals that shape and color Alberta street. I have explored the street numerous times already, and every time I find a new artwork! I took an artist's date yesterday, enjoyed the warm sunshine, and photographed several of the murals along the way. I hope you find them inspiring!

Art has a huge impact on the ambiance of a room; it can enhance a room and completely change the mood and feel of a room.
A color can brighten and cheer up a room. A subject can enliven and bring energy to a room. A style can invigorate and revitalize a room. Size can ground and establish a room. When purchasing art, there are many factors to consider; but there is no right or wrong answer to what art will work in your space. Simply choose something you love and will enjoy living with! Below are several examples of rooms before and after Artwork by Natasha Bacca was installed in them. Do you see the impact on the ambiance?!

If you have questions or comments I would love to hear them. Much love to you all! I'm a huge fan of social media, and I now have a new place to hang out with you - Instagram! I have used Instagram for years for personal interest (follow me here), but I recently opened another account for Artwork by Natasha Bacca. Here I have been sharing more details and in progress photos of my work. Details from the #publicart #commission I'm working on for the #universityofutah's new #schoolofdentistry. A new technique ~ #painting with photo chemicals between exposure & processing ~ because I had a #dream about doing it. A video of the little critter I found in my #darkroom! 😄🌿🐛 Thank you for viewing! If you have questions or comments I would love to hear them. Much love to you all! |
