I just moved to Vancouver, British Columbia for 2 months. It has been a plan in progress for many months, and one of the ways we made this dream a reality was to rent out our house while we are away. In doing so we had to change aspects of our house - pack away many items, upgrade some things, etc. This included taking all of our personal items off of our refrigerator. These items had accumulated over years and included things such as personal notes and photos, mementos from travels, gifts from friends, artwork, etc. I didn't realize I paid much attention to how my refrigerator looks, but I cook a lot and do spend plenty of time looking at and in my refrigerator. I immediately missed all the fun and personal things that made our refrigerator uniquely ours. I didn't like the empty refrigerator look at all! It looked like a big blank canvas waiting to be filled with ideas, memories and inspirations. So I decided to add both my artwork as well as some of my favorite quotes to it. I loved the new colorful and inspirational look of the refrigerator, but we decided it might be a bit too much for some of our renters. So I simplified the look to just one larger piece with a quote and the smaller triptych. But for myself I loved more pieces, and I decided to take the same prints to add to our refrigerator in Canada. Vancouver, British Columbia Apartment Refrigerator |
