BIOGRAPHY
I am an artist and instructor based in Oregon. My work explores light, combining contemporary and archaic processes to push the bounds of conventional photography. My work has been exhibited internationally and is featured in private, public, and corporate collections. Collectors of my artwork include NASA, Hilton Hotels, Kaiser Permanente hospitals, The Rocky Mountain Chalet, Torchlight Inn, Boise Hillside Suites, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Lane Community College, Central Oregon Community College, Deschutes Brewery, and many more. Additionally my artwork has been featured on Billboards across the United States, television commercials, CBS's television show 'Two Broke Girls', and ABC's television shows 'Last Man Standing' and 'Scandal.' In 2010, I was selected as the Jubelale artist for Deschutes Brewery. In November 2010, Oregon Public Broadcasting featured my process and artworks on the Emmy award winning television series Oregon Art Beat. In January 2011, I was granted a US patent for the process by which I create my art. Most recently, I was selected as the feature artist for Telluride Wine Festival. I began art studies at a young age and have been experimenting with art processes and media ever since. I hold a Master's Degree in Education with Art Credential from Eastern Oregon University, a Bachelor's Degree in Art from University of Oregon, and an Associate's Degree in Photography from Modesto Junior College. Spending summers in Portland, Oregon and winters in Bend, Oregon, I live with my husband and our son. I am an art professor at Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Oregon. Having spent extensive time in Asia and South America, I have been influenced by the archaic in the jungles of Brazil and by the avant-garde in the jungles of Tokyo. |
